Biography Zou Ci

Zou Ci was a native of Lujiang, and from a young age it was apparent that he was gifted with magical abilities. One day he was a guest at a banquet held by the Imperial Grand Clerk Cao Cao. Cao was talking to his guests and at one point he said that there sadly wasn’t this one type of fish among all the food. Zou Chi was able to get two by having water poured into a basin and then fishing in it. Cao wanted to test him more so he mentioned the fact that there was no ginger, but he also asked Ci if he could send word to a messenger to increase the order of embroidered cloth without leaving the party, and he did both. He had Ci arrested at one point because Ci somehow got Cao and one hundred other officials drunk and filled up off of one slab of meat and a small amount of wine and when he went to investigate this he found that all the stores were missing their wine and meat. Ci simply walked through the wall after being arrested. Someone saw Ci in a marketplace and reported it, but when soldiers came to arrest him he turned everyone around him into an exact image of him. They found him in the mountains and he ran into a flock of goats. Knowing they couldn’t just grab him there the soldiers announced that they were no longer trying to kill him, and that it was all a test of his magic powers. Suddenly one goat stood on it’s legs like a person, and announced that that was a relief, and just when they thought they caught him all the soldiers turned into goats and did the same thing.
